Business Intelligence Architect at Microbiome Labs (Novonesis Group). Resume, writing, and selected work in one place.

I'm on a journey to grow, and serve others along the way. My educational background in microbiology has been a stepping-off point, enabling me to identify systems at play and assess their interactions. I enjoy investigating areas for improvement within the systems around me and am always looking to learn. Being a "Jack-of-a-few-trades" is what I enjoy doing — leveraging my personal and professional experiences to make the biggest impact.

Where I've worked

  1. Early 2026 — Present

    Business Intelligence Architect

Microbiome Labs (Novonesis Group) · United States

    • Build business intelligence systems, not just dashboards — work spans the full analytics stack: modeling data in Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric, engineering semantic models in Power BI (Direct Lake, DAX, time-intelligence measures), and automating data workflows in KNIME with Python.
    • Moving the organization's BI practice off GUI-driven, one-off report building toward a programmatic, version-controlled discipline: PBIP/TMDL source files under Git, AI-assisted semantic modeling, and CI/CD deployment into Fabric.
    • Focused on the durable layer of BI — governed metric definitions, correct filter logic, and data quality — the layer that survives as AI reshapes how dashboards get authored.
    • Led a Snowflake-to-Fabric migration.
    • Built packaged Power BI custom visuals (TypeScript/D3) for sales territory mapping.
    • Authored narrative DAX measures that turn revenue data into plain-language insight.
  2. April 2024 — Early 2026

Let's build something meaningful

Modernizing data infrastructure, building executive-level intelligence, or shaping a long-term BI strategy — I'd like to hear about it.
